ESSEX FOOD FAIR May 2009

Some of the Carting Group were at the Essex Food Fair at Cressing Temple Barns, Braintree. Despite some heavy rain and strong cold winds and losing a Gazebo, we still had the crowds entertained.

Saturday was the best day for weather but Sunday for the crowds.

This was a weekend to get the young dogs out and get them used to the routines and  the atmosphere and all the attention they were to get from the general public. Haggis and George (brothers) were put to the test when they both went to retrieve their flags together and Haggis won the hearts of the crowd when he went to fetch the lollipops in his basket for the kids.

Duggie and Bonnie showed us all how to do a perfect weave off lead, Duggie being very slow and steady, taking his time while Bonnie under the influence off Roy doing it at 100 miles an hour but still managed to do it without knocking a cone over!  But Flora showed them both how it should be done under my guidance, by knocking all the cones over!.

Rescued PARROTS were also a main attraction at the show

We were also joined by Babs Munson and her other half with Merlin who joined the rest of the dogs in the display.
This is a lovely venue and the Carting Group are doing another 2 shows here later on in the year.
